I just had to write and tell everyone what Jesus just did for Kole. He has not truly moved around since last Thursday. He has been bed ridden. Anyway, Kole told me I could go out in the breezeway and take some quiet time to read my bible. I said ok. He and Ellie were watching TV. I checked on them about 10 or 15 minutes later. Here Kole was on the floor. I rushed in and thought Ellie had pulled him off the couch. Here come to find out Kole got himself off and was crawling on the floor. I was so excited. He then tells me that I just figured out that if I ask in Jesus's name I can do anything. Praise the Lord. God continues to answer prayers and pull me out of my slimy pit that I always seem to put myself in.
God BLess and keep praying.
Love,
Janni

Awesome Indeed!!!!!!!!!
I have been studying the life of Joseph with Beth Moore's The Patriarchs this past week. I thought of you and Kole thoughout. Joseph had to endure so much to get to where God wanted him to be. These are the last two paragraphs of the weeks study:
"I can't think of a single time in Scripture when God called His people to do nothing in terrible times. In His mercy, God didn't even leave the Egyptians defenseless against a future famine. He incarcerated Joseph among them so that 'the God' of all creation, 'the' One and only, would be exalted among a foreign people who would in turn provide for His own. 'Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!' (Rom. 11:33).
Certainly you and I want people to be honest with us but, if you're like me, you'd also prefer they leave you with a little hope. Maybe even a few possible answers for ways to best endure a difficult situation. None of us wants to hear, "There's nothing we can do.' A child of God need never sink into hopelessness no matter how dismal an honest appraisal of their circumstances may be. Nothing is impossible with God. In fact, He may have saved back some harvest from those good seasons to faithfully sustain you. We, Dear Ones, of all people on the face of the earth, have a future and a hope. Here, you my ask? Ah, yes, as long as God wills, but an exceeding future awaits us there. Though it tarry, one day we shall be called from this earthly dungeon and brought before the sovereign King of all creation. And every God-given dream will become a startling, glorious reality."
Furthermore, after Joseph helped the cupbearer, the cupbearer forgot Joseph for two years! Yet, when the time was right, Joseph was brought forth immediately. There was a purpose to the timing. We can only guess what it might have been - did Joseph have a job to do where he was, did his heart need prepared, did he need to influence the life of another, did Pharoah's heart need prepared, who and what else was effected by this two year wait..."Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out!"
I am praying that your faith remain solid and strong! I am praying for the complete physical healing of Kole.
I love you!!
Thank you for this message. I want you to know that it gave me the chills. Kole's middle name is Joseph. God has plans way before we ever know them. One verse that comes to mind is Isaiah 25:1 "O Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done marverlous things, things planned long ago.
We have not met you, but through Christ we love you and share your pains and triumphs. Thank you so much for blessing us with this blog.
We have and will continue to cry out in a loud voice on behalf of Kole and trust in the throne of grace. May God continue to feed your spirit and bring about His glory.
Janni - I also have recently learned what a help the holy Spirit is every day. Ask the Holy Spirit to help you when the devil puts an "uh oh" thought (bad thought) in your mind that it will be stopped the second it comes and be turned into a positive thought. The Holy Spirit will help you not only be strong through these times but will help you with your thoughts. Love and prayers, and all glory to God!!!
What a glorious website! Thank you for this blessing, Janni and Steve. Ben and I have been thinking of you and your family and especially Kole. Now we are praying alongside you as well.
we miss you guys so much.
Jesus is taking care of you and your precious Kole.
With much love in Jesus,
Rachel Helwig
