Hello, I thought I would run by a quick update on Kole! I just talked to my dad and he said he is amazed at the progress Kole has made this week! My father said this with joy in his voice! Kole happened to be weak on his left side last week. However, this week Kole is using mostly his left side. He even uses his left hand to eat! Kole's left side seems remarkably stronger! Is that not God or what! Also, my dad (Kole's grandpa Sprunger) over heard Kole tell his father (Steve) that he is going to take a picture of his mom and dad with him to college! That just gives a tiny hint to the strong bond of love that they have established. My dad said I do not remember even thinking about college at his age! My mom told me he keeps turning down tylenol! He actually has hospice nurses working with him. He gets a massage every day! I have heard Kole enjoys his massage! He is very talkative and alert! His mind is sharp as a tack, which is quite amazing, since it is his brain that should be the most affected.

By the way volunteers are cleaning the Keller's new home today and are beginning to move their belongings into their home. By tomorrow they should be in their new home! Tomorrow is also Kole's birthday. Happy sixth birthday Kole!

Here is the passage I read today, to my children. It comes from Acts 27. Paul has been on a ship off the island of Crete. There has been a fierce storm for a number of days and the crew has given up hope of survival (vs.20). Paul goes on to encourage the crew with this message from Acts 27:22

"But now I urge you to keep up your courage, because not one of you will be lost; only the ship will be destroyed. Last night and angel of the God whose I am and whom I serve stood beside me and said, "Do not be afraid, Paul. You must stand trial before Caesar; and God has graciously given you the lives of all who sail with you". So keep up your courage, men, for I have faith in God that it will happen just as he told me.

Jodi

Just another blessing to think about. This just reminds us that God's plan is perfect...If Kole had been completely healed a few weeks ago, then he would've had to stay in the hospital longer to get IV fluids, therapy, nutrition, etc. Can you imagine the stress that would've been on you then if you had to take a newborn to the hospital all day long, and possibly all night long. It might have been harder than what you're going through now. God knows what's best!!
We're continuing to stand in the gap for you. Stay strong and give it over into God's hands, that is what he wants from us.

Happy Easter. Boy was that an awesome service Sunday, glad you were able to go and get a refreshing. On the outside, things don't always look the best. God doesn't base His acts on what we see with our earthly eyes. That is when our faith is built when we trust in God when things look bad. We have the mind of our victorious Christ, we need to try our best to see with our Godly eyes and think with our Godly minds and focus on His promise. I know you believe in God, continue to persevere. Continue reading the exact scriptures that the Lord has given you throughout this. They will refresh you also and renew your mind. God Bless. We continue to pray, praise, and give glory to God.

"BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD!"

"Don't be afraid. Don't be discourage by this mighty army (cancer), for the battle is not yours, but God's." 2Chr 20:15

2 Chron 20 also talks about a vast army marching against you from beyond the Dead Sea. Satan is attacking, trying to bring death. We will not let him!!!!!!!! The battle is the Lord's. He already won it at the cross. We take hold of it right now in Jesus' name!!!

God will reward your faith, discipleship and love with sustaining strength and a peaceful heart. You and your family have done a tremendous job in spreading the word of God, being testament to the joy He brings to life and challenging those that know you and know of you to walk closer to Him. May that miracle of Kole continue. May your load be lightened by knowing that Kole's light helped God's light to shine in so many other lives.

Below is some information that was passed along from 'Grandpa Keller' early this morning --

Kole went to be with his heavenly Father Monday, April 9th at 10:00 p.m. Right before passing away, he shed a couple of tears and then smiled. His mother, father, two grandmas, two grandpas and his aunt were all by his bedside.

Kole is now without pain and suffering. He is now probably high-fiving David from the David & Goliath story which he dearly loved along with talking to Noah about his ark.

Funeral arrangements are pending. We'll know more after tomorrow afternoon. Thanks for all your prayers and support!

It is times like this that there are no words that one can say that can provide the comfort that is so wished for your family.

We grasp for the right words, fearing to say the wrong thing.

Please know, we are here...although some of us are silent - for lack of knowing what we can do to ease your grief.

This journey has not ended! We will be here - with you in spirit until the day that it does...

That means, we are connected through Kole for a lifetime.

Today, I saw the daffodils again....they "weathered" the storm and are blooming after all.

Steve & Janni,
With tears streaming down my face, I want to tell you how special you are. God chose you among all the other parents on this earth to raise Kole, and care for him in such a special way. Losing him leaves a huge hole in your heart, I know, but he has left behind a wonderful story of faith and love. Many have read or heard of his story, and what an amazing kid he was, and have read or heard of your faith - you have all affected many lives! We will continue to pray for you - as will our Bible study, church family, and Echo Ranch family in the coming weeks.

One never knows how a person impacts the lives they touch.

I can tell you...I have been touched by the love that abounds in this family in a day when such a loving family bond seems rare.

I have been touched by the faith that this family has in the face of such adversity...

What I know, is that the day will come when each of us will face adversity. I have to ask , as a non believer..do we want to face that alone...or with the love and support of a loving Father??

I am thankful that Kole was placed in your loving and caring arms. That his time here was spent knowing what it was to be loved...

Kole has touched our lives. Your family has touched our lives.

We thank you for your example of love and faith. God's light really does shine through you...even for those of us who may have tried for years to avoid it.

Like everyone else there are no words to capture what Kole meant to you and to everyone who got to know him through this blog. My heart is heavy for you and all that must be going through your hearts and minds. The only thing I feel I can even pass on to you for encouragement is this scripture.

I just let Christ take over! And so the weaker I get, the stronger I become. 2 Corinthians 12:10

Live in the strength that God provides, not your own! When you are at your weakest that is when you must exercise your faith the hardest!

Father God,
We pray that your unfailing love will consume the Keller's this week and they will feel Your soft embrace around them. Hold them and carry them during this season of their lives for we know Your ways are not our ways.
Amen

There are not enough beautiful words to describe the love, loyalty, and incredible faith that this family has shown in the face of great struggle and sorrow. What amazing work God has been able to accomplish through all of you! I don't think any of us can begin to put into words the extraordinary impact you have had on all of us, and while we cannot begin to truly feel the enormous heaviness of you hearts right now, we grieve with you, love you, and pray for God's comfort and peace to be with all of you. What a great, great blessing and honor it has been to know you and pray for you, and to share in your love for Kole as if he was one of our own. Your precious son is loved and missed by all of us and our hearts have been forever changed by your incredible testimonies of faith.

Dearest Janni, Steve, and Family,

Our hearts are heavy learning about Kole's journey home to be with our Heavenly Father. May you find comfort in God's promise of eternal life.

Your faith and love that you have shown during this difficult journey have been an inspiration to many. May this faith and love continue to strenthen you.

Kole is now free of earthly afflictions. Even though our tears temporarily blind us, we can rejoice even in this time of sorrow because of the victory Christ gave us on the cross.

We love you all and will continue to pray for God to cradle you in His arms to help you through this.

Owen called to let me know of Kole's passing and I have come and gone from this page all day because I know that no words will take away the pain. I know that while Kole's pain has ended yours is just beginning. But I am comforted in knowing that he can now do all the things his earthly body did not allow him to do.

You are incredible - strong in your faith and love for each other. Kole couldn't have had a better family.

Love to you all.
